Launched in May 2006, G.R.I.P.'s CNC Milled Wedges are cast from 8620 mild carbon steel for a proper spin and an exceptionally soft feel on contact, unlike the craftsmanship behind traditional standard stainless steel wedges.
These wedges feature unique milling gradient specifications to provide ideal spin rates and feel around the greens for precision shot-making.
As a result of their design, each G.R.I.P. wedge makes it easier to address the ball, line up shots and control ball trajectory.
G.R.I.P.’s CNC Milled Wedge Offerings
- The 52° degree Gap Wedge (sometimes referred to as a “Scoring” Wedge) closes the distance between your Sand Wedge and Pitching Wedge. It can be used from a variety of lies, including fairways, rough and sand. G.R.I.P. uses a specialized one-way (light-pressure) milling on the face of the club to provide a standard spin for longer approach shots that will help the ball to “bite” on the green.
- The 56° Sand/Fairway Wedge allows you to get out of the sand with ease. It is also an outstanding performer from the rough and the fairway. G.R.I.P. uses a one-way (medium-pressure) milling process on the face of this wedge for extra spin and control, delivering exceptional accuracy from a variety of lies.
- The 60° Lob Wedge is used for shots requiring extraordinary spin control. G.R.I.P. utilizes a highly specialized, two-way milling process on the club face for the creation of high shots, with astounding spin, that stop “dead” on the green. We have found that the Lob Wedge is an essential club for clearing obstacles, including trees, and for accurate approach shots on raised greens.
Available in 52° Gap Wedge, 56° Sand/Fairway Wedge and 60° Lob Wedge models, and featuring a classic teardrop wedge shape and True Temper Steel shafts, the MSRP for G.R.I.P. CNC Milled Wedges is $49.95.
